One point catches most buyers out: the USB outlet and the main socket draw from the same magnetic circuit, so the stated capacity covers both together. On a 2000VA unit a laptop charger on the socket and two phones on USB stay comfortably inside the rating, while a 2,000W appliance on its own would not. Read the rating as a single combined budget.

Does the USB outlet reduce the capacity available at the socket?
Yes. Both outlets draw from the same transformer, so the total of everything connected must stay within the rated capacity.
Can I charge a phone with nothing connected to the main socket?
Yes. The USB outlet works independently of the main socket, so the unit can be used purely as a charger.
Is a 2000VA frame enough for a microwave?
Only if the microwave’s input rating is below about 1,300W and it is the sole load. Microwave input is always higher than the cooking-power figure, so check the plate on the back.
Which frequencies does the unit support?
50/60Hz. The core is designed for both, and the output frequency simply follows whatever the supply provides.
