■ Load Guidance
At 1000VA and 80% efficiency the TC-1000 will carry about 800W of continuous resistive load, or roughly 300–400W of motor load once starting current is allowed for. Practical pairings we see most often:
- Microwave or coffee machine — one at a time, check the rating plate
- Refrigerator under 200W running load — acceptable
- Power drill or router up to 300W — acceptable
- Audio system or amplifier — excellent match, very low hum
- Any air-conditioning load — not recommended at this rating

■ Why the Toroidal Build Matters Here
At one kilowatt a conventional laminated transformer produces an audible 50/60Hz hum that is noticeable in a quiet room. The toroidal core in the TC-1000 reduces that substantially, and the double-core winding also cuts stray flux — important if the unit sits near a turntable, a sensor or measurement wiring.

Compare the TC-1000 with a conventional laminated 1000VA converter and the differences are audible and measurable. ■ Handling and Siting
Allow 5cm of free air around the case. The toroidal transformer should sit on a flat, firm surface; if it is bolted down, tighten the mounting bolt firmly but do not over-compress the rubber pad, as excessive pressure can distort the core and increase no-load current. The unit can be left permanently energised, but switch it off when not in use if the appliances have no standby requirement.
