What can a 5kVA stabilizer carry in practice?
Roughly 4kW of resistive load, or about 3kW of motor load once starting margin is applied. A typical fit is a house, a small restaurant, a clinic or a workshop running a compressor and single-phase machines on one feed.
My mains sits at 165V in the evening. Is this model suitable?
Yes, as long as the low point stays above 160V. Below that the unit runs out of correction range and the output falls with the input; in that case specify a wider-range model or a servo stabilizer with a lower input floor.
Can it be wall mounted?
The SVR-N frame is built for wall or bench mounting with a plastic front panel. Leave at least 10cm clear above and below the enclosure so convection can carry the heat away.
